Hello and welcome to the TRAMANNIN home page.
We purchased our first Weimaraner, Gunalt Escada
of Tramannin from Patsy and Stephen Hollings in March 1996. |
|
As well as being our first Weimaraner, Tosca is also
our first show dog and is handled by Martin. Despite being difficult to handle, we were instantly bitten by the showing bug and persevered. This payed off in February 1999 when Tosca won her first Challenge Certificate (CC) and Best of Breed at Manchester Championship Show. She has added to this with a reserve CC at Birmingham in September 1999 and another at Driffield in October 2000 where the photo (right) was taken by Charles Rayner) . |

Tosca had her first "Star" litter, by Sh. Ch. Gunalt Excess, in
September 1998. From this litter we kept a bitch puppy, Tramannin Shooting Star. Astar made her championship show debut at WELKS in April 1999, where she qualified for Crufts 2000, by winning her class (minor puppy bitch). Astar had a few more placings at championship shows in'99, including a 1st at Leeds in July. In 2000 Astar was placed at most of the champ shows she attended including a 1st in post graduate bitch at Darlington in September where this photo (left) was taken by Charles Rayner |

Weimaraners are wonderful dogs to own, so loyal, but they are not for couch potatoes!!
Tosca enjoys nothing more than running along side us on our bikes, along forest tracks, seeking out pheasants and rabbits - a typical gundog!!
We are members of the North of England Weimaraner Society (NEWS) and the Weimaraner
Association, have a look at these sites for more info on the breed. |
